Guidance > Commercial > Retention > Retention Policy FPS Retention Policy “In line with the House of Commons Trade and Industry Committee report on the use of Retentions within the Construction Industry, the FPS agrees that the withholding of retention is an outdated practice which should not be necessary in a modern, productive industry which delivers a high quality product. In line with this ambition the FPS Registration System ensures that member companies achieve and maintain the highest standards in Safety, Quality and Technical performance.
